Uriarte Safybox organizes Technical Conference to present the new meters centralisation and new program “Creo SMS” for their configuration.

Yesterday in San Sebastian, commercial director at Uriarte Safybox was pleased to present a new meters centralisation Safybox SMS ( Smart Metering System), designed for optimised the column configuration and to easier the installation.

During the conference was handed over the new technical manual of equipment accepted by Electrical Utilities and was presented the new program “Creo SMS” for setting up centralizations.

Uriarte Safybox organizes the collection of toys for the orphanage of Equatorial Guinea.

Our collaboration with the orphanage of Malabo began in 2012 with the participation in its Charity Calendars.

Seeing the illusion of children and the result of the improving of the Centre/Foundation, this year we want to take a further step. We have embarked ourselves in this new initiative, so in the next few months we are going to perform different events to collect toys and send them to Equatorial   Guinea, this Christmas.
For example, on October 31, thanks to New Bilbao Events was organized a party in the Hotel Ercilla and an act between friend where were collected hundreds of gifts.

The toys will be sent directly from Uriarte Safybox in the next shipment of our materials. Representatives from GE Uriarte, José and Antonio deliver them personally, taking photos and making a video, so people can see that really your donation has come firsthand to a very specific solidarity destination.

We will cover the costs of the logistical process involved: pick up the toys, make the shipment in container, customs and take them to the orphanage.

Forum for African Power Pools 2013

The annual meeting Forum brings together Energy ministers and utility executives of a large number of African countries: Morocco, Algeria, Mauritania, Democratic Republic of Congo, Republic of the Congo, São Tomé and Príncipe, Equatorial Guinea, Angola, Cameroon, Gabon, Chad, Central African Republic, South Africa and Burundi.





This event initiative aims to improve the electrical infrastructure of these countries, through the interconnection of electrical systems and appealing to the solidarity between neighbouring villages. This forum presents the current needs of electrical energy, giving priority to isolated areas which are traditionally the poorest.
Many countries have already sufficient sources to provide itself autonomously, and with the surpluses that have, they can feed the electricity systems of neighbouring countries.
 




There are many advantages of interconnections, the most important is to ensure network stability (voltage and frequency), avoiding the dreaded blackouts.
Uriarte Safybox through its delegation in the country, Uriarte  GE, has made his name at this Conference of African countries.
They are offering its technology know-how, their knowledge of Smart Grids, work experience in more than 68 countries around the world and the possibility of a productive deployment in the central Africa. To allow a real and effective technology transfer from engineering to local technicians.





During the 2-days event, the stand of Uriarte Safybox received a numerous compliments, and the visit by their Excellencies the Prime Minister of Republic of Equatorial Guinea, accompanied by the Minister of Mines, Industry and Energy.

Lantegui Batuak

We actively collaborate with this non-profit organization that creates job opportunities suitable for people with disabilities. Our first collaboration with them started in 1980.
Later in 1995 we were the first company ever to integrate a production site in our facilities in Bilbao.
Since then, we remain committed to the integration of people with disabilities, traditionally employing staff in our workforce and maintaining a productive enclave as the prime example came to consist of 30 people in 2008.



Doctors Without Borders:

We cooperate with  this medical and international health organization that applies to all kinds of people and populations in distress.
We provide an annual donation and also we offerd our help as a facilitator of electrical equipment by offering products and services for free or at a reduced cost.



Malabo Orphanage:

Collaboration through donation to the Orphanage of Malabo (Equatorial Guinea) for conducting its 2013 charity calendar done by our branch there: Uriarte GE.



In 2013 we have provided funds for the food supply so we can treat children suffering from malnutrition.
- 1.500 rehydration salts packs.
- 1.500 micronutrient supplement packs.



Micro-wind installation:

In our own factory, in 2013, we will proceed with the construction of a micro-wind facility as a source of renewable energy generation, totally clean and efficient for our own use in the different production processes.
Renewable microgeneration facilities produce benefits for the whole of our environment through decentralized production, its environmental impact.

On Sunday 13 October, The Walk on Project (WOP) foundation is organizing the First Solidary Race, where the thousands of rubber duck will fill the Bilbao River.
