PIONEER IN WIND MICROGENERATION

The multinational Uriarte Safybox, first private company in Spain to install wind turbines for electricity production for direct self consumption.

Safybox Uriarte, electrical equipment manufacturer, inaugurated next February 14 at its facilities in Lezama (Vizcaya ) - The first wind energy  installation of its kind statewide in partnership with Iberdrola, EVE ( Basque Energy ) and installation company Haize Delivery Management Fortis turbines.

With two 5 kW wind turbines and building wind strength, the facility will have a capacity to produce 25,000 Kw . / Year of renewable energy, totally clean and efficient that cater directly to their different production processes helping to reduce external consumption.

The European Directive on the Promotion of Renewable Energy, emphasizes the Micro - generation, also called "distributed generation." Thus arises the approval by the Council of Ministers on November 11, 2011 Renewable Energy Plan - 2011-2020 which sets a target in that period of installation of 300 MW in mini wind turbine.

The advantages of distributed generation could be summarized in :

• Encourage citizen involvement in the fight against climate change.
• Power Generation next to consumption points.
• Optimize generation to avoid losses in transport networks.
• Operation with moderate winds.
• Low cost of operation and maintenance and high reliability.
• Reduced environmental impact through integration into humanized environments.
